At BRIMM. Headwear, we believe the most sustainable hat is the one you'll wear for years. Fast fashion has taught us to buy often and throw away quickly, and accessories are no exception. We wanted to do things differently. Every decision we've made, from the materials we use to the way your hat arrives at your door, is about creating something you'll keep, wear and love for a long time. Our collection is built around quality, longevity and choice, not passing trends.

Crafted in Italy
Every hat from BRIMM. Headwear is made in Italy by a specialist hat maker, using skills and techniques refined over generations. Italy has a long tradition of hat making, and working with experienced craftspeople means each hat is shaped, finished and checked with real care. Better construction means fewer faults, a stronger structure and a hat that holds its shape season after season. 

We know exactly where our hats come from, and we're able to visit our maker and see the work happening for ourselves. That openness matters to us. Everyone involved in making your hat is valued and looked after, and we're proud to work with a maker who treats their people with the same care they put into their craft. For us, a hat can't truly be sustainable unless it's made fairly, by people who are respected for the skill they bring.

Pure wool felt
Our hats are made from full wool felt, a natural, renewable fibre that has been used in hat making for centuries for good reason. Wool is warm without being heavy, breathable so you stay comfortable, and naturally water-resistant, so a light shower won't ruin your day or your hat. It's also remarkably resilient: wool fibres bounce back, helping your hat keep its form over years of wear. And when it does eventually reach the end of its life, wool is biodegradable, unlike many synthetic alternatives.

One hat, endless looks
Each hat from BRIMM. Headwear comes with an interchangeable 100% leather band, and this is where we think sustainability and style meet. Rather than buying a new hat every time you want to change your look, you simply swap the band. You can dress it up, dress it down, match it to a coat or make it pop with colour. It's fewer hats, more outfits and less waste. Our leather bands are made to be durable too, so they'll age with character rather than wear out.

A hat that fits is a hat that gets worn
A hat that doesn't fit ends up at the back of a cupboard, and that's waste too. That's why BRIMM. Headwear is size-inclusive, offering four hat sizes and designing with head shape and hair type in mind, not just measurements. When a hat fits properly and feels good, you reach for it again and again. We think inclusivity and sustainability go hand in hand.

Packaging with purpose
Your hat arrives in a sturdy kraft hat box, designed to be kept rather than thrown away. Your hat and band travel together in the box, safely and simply. Once it's home, the box becomes the perfect place to store your hat, protecting its shape and keeping it dust-free between wears or through the warmer months. It's packaging with a second life.

Buy less, choose well
We'd rather you own one hat from BRIMM. Headwear that you truly love and wear for years than a drawer full you've forgotten about. Look after it well by storing it in its box, brushing it gently and letting it dry naturally if it gets wet, and it will look after you. That's the kind of fashion we believe in: thoughtful, lasting and made to be worn.
